Dubai Police organise cycling even on Thursday
Dubai Police, in cooperation with its strategic partners, is organizing “Dubai’s Bicycle-Friendly" events, tomorrow Thursday, at Nad Al Sheba cycling track.
The event, which is part of Dubai Police’s community-based initiative "Positive Soul", will feature an awareness workshop on public safety and cycling tips for cyclists.
Ms Fatima Bu Hajeer, Head of Community Initiatives Section at the Community Relations Department at the General Department for Community Happiness, confirmed that the "Dubai’s Bicycle-Friendly" event is a part of the "Positive Soul" initiative that is organized in response to the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Community Sports Initiative.
Bu Hajeer invited members of the public to join the event and learn more about cycling safety and eventful atmosphere. "Positive Soul aims at enhancing key values including tolerance and co-existence and communication among members of the society. It also encourages acceptance and respectful behaviours towards each other and rejecting all forms of extremism, hatred, violence, prejudice and discrimination,” “Dubai Police aim at benefiting from sports and encourage the members of the community to have better use of their free time through awareness and cultural programs,” Bu Hajeer added.
